Christina den Hond-Vaccaro, born in Switzerland and raised in Vorarlberg (Austria), became a freelancer after her international studies in crop sciences and began to work as a free journalist in autumn 2016. Soon she was employed by the street magazine “marie – Die Vorarlberger Straßenzeitung”. Later, she returned to agroecology professionally and worked as a research assistant for agroforestry and agri-photovoltaics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). As part-time work, she completed her doctorate at ETH Zurich and researched silvoarable agroforestry systems. Today she works as a postdoctoral researcher for Agroscope in the field of climate change resilience of agroforestry systems. Today she works as a postdoctoral researcher for the Swiss research institute Agroscope in the field of climate change resilience of agroforestry systems. Her long-term goal is to work in the field of science communication/journalism.
